I began my lifelong study and love of all things nature and green, growing up in northern Georgia. The fecundity of the land, the rich biodiversity, are some of my earliest childhood memories. Plants smell different in the heat of the Deep South, grow faster, leave lasting impressions. Bull Magnolias warmed through the languid course of a southern summer day, have left lasting, visceral memories. Scuppernong grapes sweetened the evening air. The dogwood trees in bloom were our spring snow. All these, native plants.
Along with the thoughtful exploration of nature in the wild, our father planted an edible garden in the spring. The first customer to our vegetable stand ate our warm tomatoes like apples. I was delighted.
I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature, at the University of Georgia, and shortly thereafter moved to New York City to experience almost every single opportunity that was on offer. I have built a quiet, steady clientele in the New York City & Fairfield County community over my two plus decades in both places.
Our team is knowledgeable, respectful, and passionately engaged in the process of making outdoor spaces a refuge & resource for our clients, our essential pollinators, and the environment.
